Easter Weekend

We had a very busy and exciting Easter weekend.

Friday night Tim and I attended (for the second year in a row) the simulcast for Secret Church put on by David Platt, it was a 6 hour (plus) teaching on the Cross and Suffering. It was AMAZING! IMG_1639Saturday morning, Mommer, Alexa and I went to get some manicures and pedicures done. This was Alexa’s first experience and she loved it :) She smiled almost the entire time, I mean you could barely see her eyes she was smiling so big!!IMG_1641That afternoon, Mommer, Treyton and I had some sewing time. Treyton and Mommer worked on a pillow case while I worked on making two dresses for the girls. IMG_1652

Afterward Mommer put together another dress for Alexa using the same pillow case pattern. They all turned out really cute!!  IMG_1649His pillowcase turned out awesome – he actually tried to convince me that his pillow is softer now :) So cute. IMG_1655 Resurrection Sunday

We spent Easter at my sister and brother-in-law’s house, as is our tradition. They do a really great job making it fun for the kids. They do an Easter egg hunt, crafts and this year they even got a pinata. IMG_1661This was Audrey’s first year participating in the Easter Egg hunt, and she caught right on. She was so excited to pick up eggs, she couldn’t stop there she collected eggs, leaves, rocks and anything else she could find. IMG_1666Treyton and Ryan prided themselves on finding the “tough eggs”. IMG_1669Alexa was also excited and found a record number of eggs! She was so quick I barely saw her picking one up. IMG_1668

My little niece Madison is so adorable, she loves to be held, and she will walk up to almost anyone (she knows) and asks to be picked up. My kids have never really been like this, so it’s nice to have a niece who is so warm and cuddly with me. IMG_1677

For the pinata, the little kids got to go first, up to the big times, every one got two different turns. Here is Uncle Aaron helping Audrey hold the bat (it was a little heavy for her). IMG_1681Alexa wasn’t that interested in it, she only took 1 of her turns (2 hits), and didn’t want to go again. IMG_1684

Treyton did some serious damage to the pinata on both rounds, but Ryan, the oldest cousin in the group, ended up breaking it completely open. The boys were pretty excited about the entire thing. IMG_1689

Here we are collecting the candy for the kids! IMG_1698

It was a great Easter!!

Thank you Skye and Aaron for all your hard work!!

It was great to have everyone at the house. I really do love it. Now that everything was such a big hit in the garage I think I will have to plan some activities for before dinner while everyone is waiting!!
